Dinner in White to return for the seventh year

The University of Colorado Cancer Center is thrilled to announce that the 7th annual Dinner in White pop-up event will return on August 19. The rules are simple: dress in all white, pack a picnic dinner and be ready for a night of glitz and glamour; celebrating and honoring cancer survivors and loved ones we treasure.  Be prepared to be dazzled by numerous local vendors, a wall of wine, and music that will keep you on your feet all night long.

The secret location of the event will not be made public until one hour before it starts. Those people “in-the-know” will be alerted through social media and email. Each person attending the dinner is guaranteed to have a mereveilleux time. This year ticket prices have been dramatically reduced to ensure that anyone who wants to experience this unique event can!

“This event is the perfect combination of philanthropy and fun,” says Taylor Abarca, chair of the Dinner in White committee and web specialist at the CU Cancer Center. “I wanted to be involved in planning Dinner in White because I truly believe that the research and patient care that happens at this center is incredibly special. It is important for people to know that we are here and they do not have to leave their home to get personalized care.”

The goal of Dinner in White is to support a different program at the CU Cancer Center each year. This year, in a nod to the keynote speakers’ young colon cancer experience, it will benefit GI research.

“I am so honored to be speaking at the CU Cancer Center’s annual Dinner in White event,” says Estrada. “Because of the level of care, research, and innovation, I am still here today. I hope people look at me, a stage 4 colon cancer survivor who was told he had less than a one percent chance to live five years, and see that fundraising events like this one can make an incredible difference when it comes to life-saving research.”
